The Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is a board made up of men or women who come together to make sure the Altar area or Chancel is ready for worship. This group takes honor in preparing the part of the church where the Word of God is preached and the Sacraments are administered.

Some of the duties of this board are; changing the paraments to the appropriate colors depending on the season of the church, making sure candles are filled, keeping altar clothes clean and presentable, and polishing/cleaning the furniture of the Chancel.
